Nagercoil is Prithviraj’s next movie

Prithviraj, the actor who is fast becoming one of the frontline actors both in Kollywood and Mollywood, is to pair up with Padmyapriya for his upcoming film Nagercoil; they have acted together earlier in Sattham Podathe.

Nagercoil is about a man born in a family whose head is considered a god man with the power to act as medium between gods and common people. They pass down this so-called gift to the following generations. In that line, the protagonist is to take over from his father, but being a well-educated rationalist who works as a software engineer and a man who loves his urban and modern culture, he is in conflict with his family.

He does not believe in the archaic school of thoughts which have his family rich and famous. He falls in love and marries a girl, Padmapriya, who is as rational as he is; this stokes up his conflict with his family. The film portrays this conflict in a beautiful manner; a sensitive subject has been beautifully handled.

The film is directed by Surendar and produced by P. Arumugam under the banner of Tiruppur M.P.S Theatre. The dialogues are by E.M.S. Raja and the songs by Samson.
