MGR in animation film All of us have seen the legendary MGR in different avatars on screen. Now it is time for us to see his animated avatar. Here comes Puratchi Thalaivan, an animated film with the legendary actor MGR as hero! It is made by Mayabimbam Media (P) Ltd., which made Inimey Naangathan V4, the first indigenously made 3D animation film of Tamil Nadu. Just like its predecessor, Puratchi Thalaivan too will be made entirely by computer specialists of Kollywood without any collaboration from Hollywood technicians. The film, directed by Venkat Baboo and produced by Sridevi Rao for Mayabimbam, tries to capture the style and mannerisms of this great actor which made him so famous. His charisma transcends time even today, when his films are broadcast on TV channels, it is not just his diehard fans from the bygone generations that watch them eagerly; younger audiences are equally attracted! When the digitalized version of his Ulagam Suttrum Vaaliban was re-released recently, it received the same response that any Rajni or Kamal film would! There were 'aarthi' and 'abhishekam' performed and it was nothing short of a festival in the theatres showing the film! Puratchi Thalaivan will definitely revive the MGR charisma!
