'Sivaji'
A frisson of excitement courses through the Tamil film world with the release of superstar Rajnikant’s ‘Sivaji’ less than three weeks away.
The pre-release hype and hoopla have reached its zenith. The streets in Tamil Nadu are awash with billboards and posters of the film, and lakhs of Rajnikant fans are literally straining at the leash.
The reason for their impatience: two postponements of the release of their favourite hero’s film on technical grounds!
Unless there is another postponement, ‘Sivaji’ is slated to see the light of the day on June 15.
The costliest film to be made in Tamil cinema, ‘Sivaji’ took more than a year to make. Shootings were done in Hyderabad, Pune in India and USA and Spain abroad.
‘Sivaji’ also marks the coming together of three titans: super star Rajnikant, ‘super’ director Shankar and ‘super’ composer A R Rahman .
