It is said that Boovaraghavan, one of the ten roles played by Kamal Haasan, is the most difficult to identify. Apparently, when the news reached everyone in Pichavaram that Dasavathaaram shooting was taking place in their area, they gathered around the shooting spot every day.
But they returned home, disappointed at not catching a glimpse of their favourite star. But in reality, they failed to identify Kamal Haasan in the getup of a tribal named Boovaraghavan. Even those who thought they had identified Kamal Haasan were not 100% sure.
Such is the actor’s calibre. He blends in with the role that he plays on the screen.
Kamal spent 8 hours each time for the makeup of this role. All this makeup lasted only for one hour. It is said that the makeup alone in Dasavathaaram cost 6 crore rupees.
