Will Bodyguard remake be Vijay’s 50th film?

This is the most popular rumour circulating in Kollywood – Vijay’s 50th film will be a remake of the Malayalam hit film Bodyguard which starred Dileep.

It is heard that Bodyguard figured in the discussions between Vijay and Siddique! But it is too early to confirm anything in this matter.

But as reported earlier, S.A. Chandrasekaran will produce Vijay’s 50th film and famous Malayalam film director Siddique will direct it. This is not the first time that Siddique will direct Vijay – their combination rocked in the super hit Friends. Siddique and Vijay have a good sense of humour and love to do comedy subjects. But it is heard that Vijay prefers his 50th film to be the right mix of action and comedy, in line with his new image.

At present, Vijay is busy with Villu, directed by Prabhu Deva, a remake of the famous Bollywood blockbuster Soldier (Preity Zinta and Bobby Deol).
