Gopikas wedding on July 17 in Kerala

As Oneindia reported earlier, actress Gopika, the girl with next-door-image who was introduced to Tamil Cinema by Cheran in his Autograph, is calling it a day.

She got engaged on May 22 at a simple function at her Ollur residence near Trissur. The wedding is to take place on July 17 at Kothamangalam St Marry’s Church in Kerala with Dr Akhilesh FRCS, who has settled in London. A grand reception will be held in a star hotel at Ernakulam on 20 July for her film world friends.

Gopika has done films in Tamil and Malayalam and won over the audiences with her performance in movies like Em Magan, Kana Kandein etc. Her last release in Tamil was Vellithirai and she has completed two Malayalam films Veruthe Oru Bharya with Jayaram and AMMA’s Twenty Twenty.

Gopika said that she will never returns to the tinsel world again after her marriage.
