Shreya as Sarathkumar’s daughter

Finally, Sarathkumar confirms that his next project after the ongoing 1977 will be Jaggu Bhai, directed by KS Ravikumar. The film is being produced by Sarath’s wife Radhika’s Raadan Media Works and actress Shreya shares the screen for the lead lady role with actress Sneha.

As Oneindia.in mentioned earlier in a report, Shreya would play the role of Sarath Kumar’s daughter in this film. Meanwhile, Sneha, who signed earlier for the role of Shreya’s mother, has opted out from the film due to her unhappiness over the role. She had given her bulk dates to Vikram starrer Tamil project.

According to the source, Shreya was first offered the dual role of daughter and mother in the film. She made it clear that she was only interested in doing the young roles. Sneha, who was to play the mother’s role, has opted out after Shreya was signed.

The director is also searching a suitable actress for the role of young and glamorous wife of Sarath Kumar in the film. Based on father – daughter relationship in different angle, the film will go on floors by June 15, after Sarath’s return from 1977 shooting.

It may be recalled that the story and title of Jaggu Bhai originally prepared for Superstar Rajinikanth few years before and the same has been shelved by him due to some reasons.
