Pokkisham gets trimmed

In deference to the wishes of his fans, actor-director Cheran has chopped off two songs and trimmed a few scenes in Pokkisham which hit theatres on Friday. Cheran swung into action after getting feedback from the theatres.

Among the deleted scenes is the conversation between Cheran and his family members (shot in Kolkata). After this trimming, the pace of the movie is expected to improve.

Known for his uncompromising ways in making movies, Cheran’s decision has surprised Kollywood. Sources say that Cheran was desperate following the lukewarm audience response in B and C areas.

Cheran’s compromise in the interest of his producer Hitesh Jabak is seen as a bold and kind gesture.
