Yogi, with Ameer and Madhumitha in the lead role, nearing completion, the talented Kollywood director has decided it is time to start planning for his next film.

Jayam Ravi
“I have absolutely no plans of acting in it,” says Ameer with a broad smile. Jayam Ravi will play the lead role in Ameer’s upcoming project, titled Kannabiran (also spelt as Kannabiraan).
Ameer will fully dedicate his time to Kannabiran once he has finished with Yogi, directed by Subramaniam Shiva, of Thiruda Thirudi and Pori fame. The film is expected to hit the screens on April 14.
Meanwhile, Jayam Ravi is extremely happy at this opportunity to work with Ameer, the talented director who gave the critically-acclaimed Paruthiveeran. At present, the broad-shouldered actor is working in Peraanmai, which stars five newcomers as the female leads and Hollywood star Roland Kickinger as the villain. Directed by S.P. Jananathan and having a unique screenplay, Peraanmani will definitely give a boost to Jayam Ravi’s career, which has touched a new high ever since Santosh Subramaniam and Dhaam Dhoom happened. Now, a film with director Ameer only portends Jayam Ravi’s rise as an important hero of Kollywood this year.
