Raj Kiran injured during shooting

Raj Kiran injured his right leg while performing a stunt for Sarithiram, which also stars Aadhi (of Mirugam fame). Raj Kiran was supposed to jump off a rock while flailing a club in Silambam style.

Unfortunately, he lost his balance, landed heavily on a rock, hurt his right leg and bled profusely. The film crew immediately took him to a nearby hospital for medical attention. But Raj Kiran is not too different from the tough and brave hero he usually plays; he returned for the shoot immediately after getting his wound bandaged!

Sarithiram is about Silambam (the ancient martial art of Tamils) and its followers. Raj Kiran plays a Silambam teacher and Aadhi is his student. Directed by Saami and produced by S.N. Raja, the film aims to revive the dying art of Silambam. At present, the crew is filming in near Kakka Kothi Parai near Pollachi.
