Actress Tabu returns to Tamil

Bollywood actress Tabu is going to make her re entry into Tamil films after a long gap. She will be playing the lead in a movie titled Anal Kaatru and the film is to be directed by veteran filmmaker Balu Mahendra. Rajeshwar is producing it under the banner of ANKK movies.The buzz is that Tabu immediately accepted the offer after hearing the storyline from Balu Mahendra. Illayaraja’s association with the director continues, as he is going to compose the music of this film too. They have been working together for over 30 years right from the days of the veteran’s debut film Kokila.

Tabu’s last film in Tamil was Kandukondein Kandukondein, directed by Rajiv Menon. Earlier, she was approached for Sarath Kumar starring Jaggubhai for the lead role, but she turned down the offer. She rejected the offer, as she was supposed to play Shreya’s mother in the film.
